Feelin' Crafty | Kristen's Furniture Facelift

This was the chair before. It was painted a hideous tan color with a raggedy teal cushion that was stained and ripping.

Hey guys! So, I thought it would be fun to share with you something a bit different. I have always loved finding old furniture at local thrift shops, the Salvation Army, and even the garbage! I found this vintage telephone chair at "Salvo" and I knew I had to buy it and fix it up. Well... I bought this piece almost FOUR years ago.

We had some gorgeous weather the other day and I just took one last look at that ugly chair sitting in my entry way. I went to Hobby Lobby, my favorite store and picked up some chalk paint and fabric. Two hours later... Voila!

This turned out to be such a cute piece. I used gray chalk paint, and some script looking fabric to reupholster the seat. I also used sand paper to distress the edges for a vintage look. I really hope I can do more of this in the future. It's so fun!
